Sailing with Enrichment

Explore the world by visiting unique ports of call aboard an intimate vessel.

Our 836-passenger vessel, the MV Explorer, is small enough to call on out-of-the-way ports that big vessels cannot reach, and fast enough to allow her passengers to spend more time in port than at sea. As a former luxury ocean liner that has been transformed into the floating university campus of the world-renowned Semester at Sea global study abroad program, the MV Explorer boasts amenities typically found at a resort, yet she is one of the most technologically advanced vessels afloat and is an inspirational learning environment for learners of all ages.

Enrichment Voyages intergenerational travel and learning experiences offer something special for every participant. Shipboard activities range from fitness classes to bingo. For travelers under the age of 12, the Children’s Program offers an array of international-themed workshops and learning experiences. Adult voyagers may choose to participate in a multitude of programming options, including Cocktails & Conversations where voyagers gather to discuss common interests, such as birding or service club membership. Live music and entertainment are featured nightly.

Discover destinations in an educational context.

Leading academics, artists, and regional experts sail on every Enrichment Voyage and conduct Enrichment Seminars and workshops that offer in-depth, collaborative exploration of the history and the culture of itinerant countries. The Enrichment Voyages Field Program features a variety of educational trips and excursions that are led by seasoned guides. Field Program offerings allow voyagers the convenience of pre-planned trips and the opportunity for meaningful engagement within the communities along each port.
